Another week, another award!
Hot on the heels of last weeks national award win with the Federation of Master Builders for the Best Kitchen Project was the local pinnacle. RMR Homes were crowned Business of the Year by the Judges of Maidenhead and Windsor Business Awards 2019.
We’ve been supporting our local business community and their awards night since 2017 and have won an award every year we’ve entered so far! A testament to our team of highly skilled and dedicated employees and of course our customers.

Why did we win?
So what was it about us that saw us crowned Business of the Year? The Judges were impressed with the quality of our products and services, our ethos which was evident throughout the team and the special touches including the champagne and flowers we leave for our clients on project completion.
They asked for our background, our services, why we’re different, what our customer service is like, how we keep our employees engaged and what we do for the community. Here’s a brief snippet of what we provided:

We are different. There’s no 2 ways about it. We do it all from the architectural planning to the final touches. We employee our Master builders, Master craftsmen and trades directly so we have total control over the process, finishing quickly and to a very high standard.
Our Customer Service
We pride ourselves on the level of service we deliver throughout the whole process:
- From initial sales meeting and questioning in detail, through the design stage, build and finish.
- Smoothly managing the planning process.
- Keeping disruption to an absolute minimum throughout the whole process for both our clients and their neighbours, by e.g. scrupulously cleaning every day both inside and outside the front of the property.
- It goes without saying we maintain excellent communication with our customers throughout.
- Our customers can expect excellent post care too, not only with our 10 year guarantee but with requests for small changes they may need as they start to live in their newly renovated homes.

Our Employee Engagement
Our employees are the best. They really are. We have 30 people working exclusively for us, we’ve built a single company culture across 5 different nationalities and 2 founding businesses. We look after our people as we know without them we’re not RMR Homes and can’t deliver the excellent service we strive for. We help our employees up skill or cross skill their trades, they get frequent performance reviews, we celebrate success across the whole business with summer and winter parties, there are tickets to adhoc events and we even take some of the top performers away on holiday. For those that need it, we have a company house to provide free accommodation in London. This highly unusual benefit helps team bonding, low staff turnover and as such low management effort and cost on recruitment.
Our Community Engagement
We sponsor two local roundabouts in the Windsor and Maidenhead area – which helps the local council budget and our managing director Raki coaches a local school field hockey team as well as playing ice hockey for the recreational side, Slough Tornados.
